SAMBAL LONG BEAN

This is a simple and delicious way to cook vegetables at home and it goes so well with steamed rice and porridge.  Sambal Crispy Chilli is definitely a classic in Malaysian cuisine.  Not only can it be used as a condiment, it is great for stir fries with vegetables like asparagus, kangkung (water spinach), french beans or just like this dish, with long beans.

INGREDIENT

Cooking Oil
Water
2 tablespoons Makbest Crispy Chilli
300g Long Bean

Tips

Less than 10minutes. The cooking time can be shortened to just under 10minutes, most of it is just waiting for the long beans to cook and soften.

COOKING STEP

1. Wash, rinse and drain well the long beans. Cut the long beans into 2 inch in length.

2. Heat up oil in wok. Add the cut long bean and water. Mix well with the Makbest Cripsy Chilli.

3. Cover and simmer on low heat until water evaporates and the long bean is cooked and is well coated into the sambal.

4. Serve hot with steamed rice.
